Thinking ahead....For You.

At Preston Construction, pre-construction services are not just about numbers, pricing, subcontractors, and materials or estimations.  Pre-construction is about people.  It is defined by relationships and trust - based on our reliable, honest counsel and advice.  At Preston Construction, we deliver on our promises and prepare our clients for every potential issue long before the initial ground breaking.

Our pre-construction services are designed to anticipate challenges, eliminate surprises, and develop timely solutions to ensure efficient project delivery.

We provide important and necessary services including constructability reviews, selection of the best building systems for a particular project, value engineering, detailed scheduling, logistical planning, and cost management.  The most important part of any construction planning, however, is proactive communication. We ensure design teams work side-by-side with our clients, balancing goals and budgets so that all pre-project deadlines are met.

Our experience has taught us that early involvement is key. This allows us to better understand the project as it relates to the owner’s needs and expectations.  Many clients recognize the value in bringing a contractor on board as early as possible.  This allows access to critical information, which leads to more effective decision making, and in turn, guarantees a successful end result.

Our Pre-Construction Services include:

  • Constructability Review (Design Drawings)
  • Conceptual Budgeting
  • Budgeting/Estimating
  • Scheduling – Prepare Schedules for Both Pre-Construction and Construction
  • Value Engineering Analysis
  • Identify Long Lead Items
  • Obtain Early Subcontractor Input
  • Bid Package Preparation – Formal Bid Process
  • Participate in Permitting Process
  • Analyze Subcontractor Bid Results
  • Prepare a Final Budget for Contract
